Club WAYGA

Mission Statement

WAYGA is a non-profit corporation formed to encourage Woodburn-area youth to "Grow with Golf."  With community and sponsor support, WAYGA offers hands-on instruction, clinics on rules and etiquette, tournaments and equipment.

WAYGA believes by emphasizing honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship we will foster growth in participant's maturity, self confidence, and respect for others while learning a lifetime sport.  WAYGA now offers the First Tee Life Skills Experience programming in cooperation with the OGA Golf Course.  All Junior members receive playing privileges at The Children's Course in Gladstone.

2009 Season Has Come to an End; Time to Begin Looking at 2010

Thank you to everyone for helping us make our 2009 Drive, Chip & Putt Sponsored by Walmart a HUGE success! There were a lot of happy faces out there and we are so appreciative to our volunteers for stepping up and making the day possible!

This year has been a fantastic growing year for our program. We have added teachers, classes, and best of all students! This year we taught 72 youth in over 75 hours of classes. We hope to make next year bigger and better with your help! Please check us out on Facebook (keyword: WAYGA) and on Twitter for updates over the next few months as well as pictures from the entire year!

In preparation for WAYGA to plan our program for next year, our President, Don Judson has asked that you all put in your comments and suggestions for next year’s program. He has the duty of presenting the board with reasons why this program should continue into next year, as well as hopefully for years to come. He has requested any input you can give ie: what your children have learned this year and last, as well as how you all are willing to be involved to keep the program running. Please contact him at dnrjudson@msn.com with your thoughts.

We want to thank you all again for your support and well wishes!
